The inspiration behind creating your unique event starts with the team behind the menu
We're in the business of delicious
I have worked in the catering industry for many years, and when we moved to the Adirondack region of New York, we were beyond thrilled to discover the opportunity here to bring a new, innovative culinary experience to the area. Integrity and personal touch are of the utmost priority for me, as I'm always striving to create the event my clients have dreamed of. Each of our clients is unique, and it's our team's job to work with them individually to create an event that speaks to who they are and celebrates their style. Commitment to detail and serving our clients on a personal and thoughtful level is our goal. We look forward to serving you, your family, and your friends soon.
I am Robin’s right-hand man (and a huge Phish fan, just had to add that in!). Robin works with clients to plan the perfect menus and events, while I'm there at her side to make sure we have everything we need to make those visions come to life. We're always looking for that next big idea to make your event stand out. The Bar Car — our beautifully renovated vintage trailer — came to life in the summer of 2015 and has been a hit ever since! Our kitchen trailer — born in the summer of 2017 — makes it possible to bring a delicious experience to you, no matter where you're located, including a full, on-site kitchen when required, decorated with bistro lights and ready to serve! We love chatting with our clients about their vision and bringing their creative ideas to life.
As owners, we feel incredibly lucky to have such a talented and supportive team that is focused on making sure each event runs flawlessly, and that each client and their guests are well taken care of.
Meet the team behind the magic
Since the age of 14, Taylor has enjoyed working in the hospitality industry and joined the Deliciously Different team as our Client Experience Manager in 2020. After attending Endicott College in Massachusetts, where she majored in Hospitality with a concentration in Event Management, she spent time traveling and living in MA before moving back to Upstate New York.
As our Client Experience Manager, Taylor loves getting to know each and every client on a personal level by working closely with them from start to finish. She's happy to assist with all things event-related — whether it is finding the perfect linen napkin or providing day-of planning and coordination!
With a passion for wine, beer, and craft cocktails, she also takes pleasure in selecting the wines for each season and coming up with fun and creative ways to incorporate the clients’ specific tastes/preferences into their bar menu. Her extensive experience in the industry and attention to detail makes Taylor an invaluable asset to our team and our clients.
A founding staff member and our resident Manager and Server, Lori brings extensive experience and knowledge of the food industry to our team. After meeting her at one of our local restaurants, we just knew she needed to be part of the Deliciously Different team. Her knowledge of the industry is priceless, and she has the brilliant ability to adapt to any situation on site, able to step in and assist wherever she is needed.
Lori's warm personality is the perfect fit for Deliciously Different, as she's able to handle anything that is thrown her way and always there to support our clients and team.
Rachael, an insurance professional with extensive experience and knowledge in the bar industry, joined the team in 2018 after she found herself missing the creative outlet mixology provided in the bar business. After meeting Robin, she decided that bartending weddings was a great way to utilize her skills behind the bar without giving up her career — and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her on the team. Rachael enjoys crafting specialty cocktails for our clients and their guests, providing a fun and energetic vibe to all of our events. She'll ensure that your custom bar experience is flawless so you can focus on celebrating with friends and family.

Victoria is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America with a Bachelor’s in Food Business Management and Baking & Pastry Arts. She fell in love with cake art at a young age and has been working in the industry for over five years. Her passion for custom cakes started in the small custom cake shop in her home town and continued at a luxury cake studio in New York City, where she continued to hone her skills and excel in her craft. As a young and striving artist, creating is her passion, and she believes food is an art form, a creative medium. She is excited to continue this creative journey as the Custom Cake Designer at the Shop by Deliciously Different, bringing dream cakes to life in the beautiful Adirondacks.
Isabelle, born in New Hampshire and later raised in South Carolina where her family still lives today, attended Johnson and Wales University’s Charlotte campus before transferring to the Denver Campus to complete her Associates Degree In Baking and Pastry Arts.
After moving back to Hartsville, SC, Isabelle honed her skills and explored her creative culinary passion at a small mom and pop bakery while also earning her bachelor’s degree online in Food Service Management. In 2021, along with her boyfriend, Mark, and their dog, Peaches, decided to make the move together to Upstate NY, and Isabelle joined the team here at Deliciously Different later that year. As a valued member of the team, Isabelle is our resident baker, learning all of our made-from-scratch recipes and delighting customers with her newest creations at The Shop.

Robin & Mark
Where are you from?
We both grew up on Long Island. Robin grew up in Babylon. She loved growing up in that amazing small town. Mark grew up in Rocky Point and his family still lives in that area. We moved to the Glens Falls area of NY in 2006 and now reside in Queensbury.
Where are some of your favorite places?
Camping with our family holds some of our most fond memories. We own an Airstream now, which we love, but when our children were young, our best memories were in the broken-down old trailers we had out on the beaches of Long Island. Montauk beach camping was our favorite thing to do with the family! Maybe that’s where the idea for our bar car came from!
What kind of events does Deliciously Different cater?
What do you love most about where you live now?
Mark and I do love this area and are so happy to be surrounded by the beauty of this amazing place. We love boating, hiking, skiing and anything to get us outside. Our time is limited in the nice weather, but we do make the most of our free time, taking advantage of relaxing on the lake even if it is just for a sunset cruise on a beautiful summer evening.
We cater all types of events. Weddings, social celebrations, corporate events, and many more. If it’s a celebration or gathering, we’d love to work with you!
Do you have sample menus and what is your pricing?
What is your favorite part of catering events?
We create custom menus for each and every event based on your style, favorite foods, and preferred price-point. Contact us if you’re interested and we’re happy to provide a custom quote for you.
Our favorite part of working on events is our initial meeting with our new clients. At this moment, most of our potential clients seem overwhelmed with the daunting tasks for their upcoming event. After our initial meeting, it is like a sigh of relief for our clients! Our clients always seem to take a deep breath and realize they have come to the right kitchen. Having our clients leave our office with such complete confidence in what we can create is priceless!
What are your favorite flowers?
What are your favorite foods?
Coffee or tea?
Our favorite food are the ones that we are sharing with family and friends. Everything tastes better when shared or created by those closest to us.
Robin is coffee... unless I’m under the weather, then plain tea. Mark is coffee — always coffee!
“From the first conversation I had with Robin, I knew we were in good hands.”
Robin, Mark, and staff handled every detail, true professionals, leaving me worry-free. One of the reasons we chose Deliciously Different was due to their extensive menu selections, as many of our guests were vegetarian or vegan, there was truly something for everyone.
The food was plentiful and beautifully presented, and the staff made sure the bride, groom, and family didn't miss out on the appetizers while pictures were being taken... so appreciated! The staff worked hard for us and always with a smile. I feel that Deliciously Different treated us as they would guests in their own home, and not just as the caterer we hired. A memorable day... and a yummy one!
