Welcome to the Deliciously Different Client March Spotlight Feature!
Meet Katelyn and Remy. They will be saying “I do” this June at the beautiful M & D Farm.
Join us as we learn more about Katelyn and Remy!
Where are you from? How did you two meet?
I (Katelyn) am originally from the Chicago suburbs, and Remy is from the Poconos. We both attended college at The George Washington University in DC.
We officially met (we had many mutual friends) in the summer of 2016. I was the outreach coordinator and unit leader (units were the age groups) for a summer camp through an organization called Camp Kesem GW. Camp Kesem provides a free summer camp and support network for children whose parents have or have had cancer. We worked together for a week with our 6 and 7-year-old campers, and Remy asked me out shortly afterwards to a Washington Nationals baseball game.
What are some of your favorite things?
Remy’s favorite things include anything sports related. He played baseball his whole life, but he’s also passionate about basketball, football, and premier league soccer. My favorite things include traveling to new places, which during the pandemic has been more close to home but just as fun. I am also a huge reader!
Dogs, Cats, Birds?
We have a soon to be 2-year-old pug, named Mo!
Is Mo not the cutest thing you have ever seen???
Coffee or tea?
Remy doesn’t drink coffee or tea, but loves Dr. Pepper. I am an admitted caffeine addict and love my coffee!
What are your favorite foods?
Remy’s favorite food is definitely a good NY Strip, and mine is pasta or pizza (aka carbs). We both love Old Forge Pizza, which Remy had growing up visiting his grandma in Old Forge, PA.
How did you decide on M+D Farm?
We knew early on that our wedding would be a semi-destination wedding for my family or Remy’s. We decided the east coast was best, as I love the mountains and forests (I’m not a Midwest girl as much anymore!). We came across M&D while looking at locations in NY state and instantly fell in love through their pictures and visiting the venue. It has a very romantic, rustic vibe that we had both been envisioning! Mario and Daniel are lovely to work with, and incredibly talented at what they do. We can’t wait for June 5th!
Why Deliciously Different?
We instantly had great feelings about Deliciously Different. The images they have provided of their events, their responsiveness, and their fun and fresh menu items instantly made us excited to have them as our vendor! They’ve helped us through designing the menu to fit our needs and tastes from day 1! We’re so excited to have Deliciously Different be part of our day.
We are so looking forward to serving Katelyn & Remy and all of their friends & family at their weddings!
